End-to-End Design and Development of Indoor Air Quality Monitors

Wi-Fi/BLE air monitor with optional LoRa or NB-IoT modules streams real-time AQI to a cloud dashboard, slashing manual checks.

Poor ventilation was invisible until our indoor air quality monitor began streaming room-level AQI to the cloud, promising healthier, audit-ready workplaces.

Context

Enterprises needed an ESP32 air quality sensor that used Wi-Fi and BLE out of the box yet could roam basements and remote wings where RF coverage drops.

Solution Highlights

  • Six-week ideation-to-prototype sprint; single PCB spin locked the design.
  • Baseline Wi-Fi + BLE for commissioning and high-bandwidth sync.
  • Optional LoRa or NB-IoT modules slot in for long-range or low-signal sites, giving up to four selectable radios.
  • MEAN-stack IoT platform with MQTT and OTA pipeline.

Automated dashboarding cut manual spot-checks from daily to monthly and enabled cross-site compliance reports.

Before Envitus ESAIA1, facilities team walked each floor with handheld meters, losing data during power cuts and facing IT pushback on gateway-heavy solutions.

We developed a self-contained monitor that worked on Wi-Fi/BLE by default yet could switch to long-range radios for problem areas—without multiple vendors.

Cross-disciplinary teams executed a six-week concept sprint, realizing 30 % faster rollout than previous projects.

Firmware buffers sensor data in flash and prioritizes Wi-Fi;

BLE handles commissioning.

For dead zones, technicians used LoRa or NB-IoT modules—no firmware rebuild required.

Packets stream via MQTT to a MEAN-stack dashboard, while 5 000 mAh battery backup and OTA updates ensure uninterrupted field life.

Android/iOS apps provision devices without touching corporate networks.

Offering ideation-to-scale delivery under one roof, Infolitz eliminates vendor friction and protects CAPEX.

Modular radios future-proof deployments, and unified APIs let BMS systems automate HVAC, boosting ROI across multi-site buildings.

Manufactured in India; AWS and DigitalOcean hosting validated; roadmap includes Matter-over-Wi-Fi support.

Envitus ESAIA1 combines an ESP32 core with standard Wi-Fi and BLE plus optional plug-in LoRa or NB-IoT radios to capture PM, CO₂, and VOC data in any building zone. A Nextion UI shows live AQI while OTA updates flow through a MEAN-stack backend. Moving from concept to pilots in six weeks, the team scaled production with injection-molded enclosures and a cloud dashboard that automates compliance logging, eliminating daily manual readings and enabling air quality.
