The Pet Tracker is a next-generation, collar-mounted smart device designed to help pet owners keep their furry companions safe, active, and socially connected. Combining cutting-edge LTE-M, GNSS, BLE, and Wi-Fi technologies, the Pet Tracker provides real-time location tracking, health monitoring, and a vibrant community experience through a companion mobile app.

Problem Statement

Pet owners often face anxiety over their pet’s safety, health, and social well-being. Traditional collars lack real-time connectivity, and there’s no unified platform to engage with other pet lovers, track pet activity, or collaborate with pet-related services.

Solution

Infolitz engineered a compact, power-efficient pet collar powered by the nRF9160 (LTE-M + GNSS), nRF52840 (BLE), and DA16200 (Wi-Fi). The device syncs with a React Native mobile app and PHP backend that:

  • Tracks movement (running/walking)
  • Measures calorie burn
  • Sends live location to AWS IoT Core
  • Enables BLE-based settings configuration.
  • NFC for seamless identification.
  • Supports a community for pet events, social chat, and business promotions
    The team delivered a working PoC, firmware, custom PCB design, and integrated cloud APIs using PHP.
