A highly portable device–app combo that captures plantar thermal images, lets clinicians annotate findings bedside, and syncs encrypted data to an AWS server for longitudinal diabetic-foot monitoring.

Problem

• Missing clinical-assessment layer
  The portable thermography system already captured high-resolution plantar heat maps, but podiatrists still had to fill out a paper Diabetic-Foot Assessment Questionnaire and attach it manually to each scan. This created a split workflow that slowed exams by 5-7 minutes per patient and introduced transcription errors.

• Need to retrofit, not rebuild
  The existing Xamarin tablet app was in daily use across outreach camps. Management required the new questionnaire to slot into the current scan-→-review flow with near-zero UI disruption so clinicians would not need retraining or longer appointment slots.

• Compliance & sharing gap
  After each exam, clinicians needed a single, professionally formatted report—thermal images plus assessment answers—signed on-screen and e-mailed to hospital EMRs and insurers. Producing that PDF by hand was labor-intensive and often delayed follow-up care.
